Rob Williams - Head Coach Melbourne CBD & company director
Grade: Gracie Jiu Jitsu Black Belt (Started February 1997)
~Since the age of 12 I knew I wanted to teach martial arts as my career. I had amazing coaches and I wanted to pass onto others how they made me feel and what they gave me. I was a skinny, insecure kid but how it made me feel inside was indescribable. I knew it was my purpose in life, so I left home at 17 to learn all I could from the best instructors.
" After 4 years Judo, 4 years Tae Kwon Do, 15 years Karate, 3 years Boxing and Thai Boxing I discovered BJJ. I have never looked back. For me it is more than just the art, it is the BJJ lifestyle. To be healthy, respectful of all others and humble - in the Jiu Jitsu world you cannot tell who is a great fighter by the size of their muscles!
It is a wonderful art and I love meeting so many interesting people on my travels around Australia and the World. We really are just one big family and wherever you go you can just pop into the local academy and make friends... I love it.

Steve Phillips
Grade: Purple Belt, four stripes (8 years training)
By his own admission Steve (who is 42 years old but feels 18) never really thought BJJ would be his thing, but now he couldn't imagine his life without it. He loves teaching as much as being taught, competes in BJJ and Judo as he loves to test himself and is a regular coach at lunchtimes.
